The festive season is officially here.
And we couldn’t be more excited.
The tree is twinkling, our home is decorated and Grace and Harry are officially counting down until Santa comes down the chimney.
My little loves went to visit Santa’s grotto this year and finally had the courage to sit on his lap.
Grace rattled off a long list of requests, assuring Santa she was indeed on the ‘nice list’.
My sweet little helper also managed to relay Harry’s requests too – her little brother was too shy to tell the big man in red himself.
Watching her sweet face beam with pride as she spoke so confidently to Santa was the best present I could ever imagine receiving this Christmas. I can’t believe how much she has grown.
We returned home with two beautiful books gifted from Santa and hearts filled with even more whimsical excitement.
Building up to the big day – we have plenty of delicious festive baking to do.
Last year, Grace and I baked the most amazing cherry studded cookies for Santa together and I am so delighted to say my lovely little helper actually remembers. She recalls waking up Christmas morning to a tower of presents nestled under our tree and our ‘cookies for santa’ plate completely empty bar a few crumbs.
Loving tradition as much as I do – I’m so happy Grace has requested the same baking adventures again this year – as ‘Santa really loved our cookies mama’.
Creating memories for my kids through family traditions [like my family did for me] is why I love Christmas so much.
We’re also planning to bake a heap of other goodies to gift to our friends and family. It’s a great way to share our love of home cooking with those we love and adore.
If you’d love to get your kids into the kitchen cooking too this Christmas here are 5 simply scrumptious christmas bakes perfect to spoil your family with…
