Who taught YOU to cook?
Me?
It was my Dad.
Dad taught me how to pipe cream onto butterfly cupcakes, how to perfectly stir fry veggies and how to crack an egg.
Those memories of us at the kitchen bench are my most treasured. And now, thanks to my Dad I can cook REAL FOOD!
The stuff my body needs to live a life FULL of HEALTH & HAPPINESS. And just like my dad, now I’m on a mission to teach kids how to cook.
Why?
Because our kids deserve to know about the food that’s on their plate. How to prepare it. AND how the good stuff fuels their growing little bodies and budding dreams.
And that’s why I’m so thrilled to be working with @AustralianEggs who are encouraging all of us to give our kids the food education they deserve thanks to their #getcracking campaign!
I’ve created 3 simple and delicious egg recipes to cook with your kids, and today I’m so thrilled to be sharing them with you!
Let’s get cracking!

SPICED SWEET POTATO AND CHICK PEA FRITTERS WITH SOFT BOILED EGGS
Teaching your kids to cook CAN happen during the busy week!
HOW?
By asking them to help prepare dinner.
But what’s the secret to not losing your cool during the midweek madness?
Psst…it’s picking a super simple recipe.
And giving your little helper 1-2 jobs, MAX!
And this SPICED SWEET POTATO AND CHICK PEA FRITTERS WITH SOFT BOILED EGGS recipe is the place to start!
These fritters come together in ONE BOWL and 30 mins.
And give your child the chance to crack an egg and stir together the batter.
SIMPLE!
If all runs smoothly though, your little chef can also help you peel the soft-boiled eggs which let’s face it – is the best FUN for little ones!
